Chloë McCardel is an honorary member of the Mentone Surf Life Saving Club and Williamstown Surf & Swimming Club (Victoria, Australia) and also the South End Rowing Club (San Francisco, USA).
Since 2015, Chloë has been an ambassador for the Williamswtown Open Water (WOW) Swim and for Masters Swimming Victoria.
Since 2014, Chloë has voluntarily provided her time to coach, mentor and act as a support crew member for English Channel relay teams fundraising for Swim Across of America. Swim Across America unites the swimming community by hosting benefit swims that raise money to fund life saving cancer research and clinical trials. These relay swims have raised over $100,000.
As part of her 2013 attempt to swim 170km from Cuba-USA, Chloë raised funds on behalf of three Cancer Charities – Canteen, Can Assist and Swim Across America. In March 2013, Chloë volunteered to be part of the Tour de Cure ‘Dream Team’ where she took part in the swim leg of the Melbourne Ironman, along with fellow athletes Mark Beretta and Callum Eade.
Since 2012, Chloë has dedicated her time as an ambassador of the annual Jalna Big Bay Swim. The swim raises funds for the Point Gellibrand Rotary Club, which is part of an international network of business, professional and community leaders who strive to make the world a better place through practical efforts. Point Gellibrand Rotary Club supports ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
Chloë also commits her time to present at charity events, schools and community groups, including the Point Gellibrand Rotary Club.
